Save money and be more efficient
You can save money and energy by choosing the right water heater for your home. We install and carry highly effective and efficient water heater models that exceed energy efficiency regulations which means they can apply for federal tax credits and other benefits. This is to help incentivize homeowners to use more energy-efficient products in their homes for a cleaner and more sustainable future.
Qualifying water heaters
Heat pump water heaters are legible to receive the federal tax credit if they have earned the ENERGY STAR 5.0 requirements. This was effective starting April 18, 2023. Heat pump water heaters are also referred to as “hybrid” water heaters. As a certified water heater installer, we order and install water heaters from the top brands in the industry. Different brands make different types of water heaters. We are able to order and install heat pump water heaters that pass the ENERGY STAR 5.0 requirements. Please contact us if you are interested in getting one of these qualifying water heaters installed in your home.
How does the water heater tax credit work?
The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 (IRA) introduces a range of home energy programs that include tax credits and rebates aimed at promoting efficiency and electrification. Starting in 2023, the updated version of 25C, now referred to as the Energy Efficient Home Improvement Tax Credit (under the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022), offers tax credits of up to $2,000 for eligible high-efficiency water heaters. Additionally, credits are available for electrical upgrades.
These provisions incentivize homeowners to invest in energy-efficient appliances and make electrical improvements in their homes. By taking advantage of these tax credits, you can not only enjoy the benefits of a high-efficiency water heater but also contribute to reducing energy consumption and minimizing environmental impact.
The Energy Efficient Home Improvement Tax Credit, as part of the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, presents an opportunity to make financially sound choices while promoting sustainability and energy efficiency in your home. Take advantage of these incentives to upgrade your water heater and make other energy-saving improvements to enjoy long-term benefits for both your wallet and the environment.
